For all in-person gatherings…
Below are some safety measures in place, and some ways we ask that you join us in honoring each other’s safety so we can gather in person.
• Social distancing—We ask all students to honor a distance of 6 feet apart from each other. Exceptions for social distancing are made only for immediate family.
• Masks—While leaders have been wearing masks indoors since fall kicked off, we ask and strongly encourage students (regardless of vaccination status) to wear masks while indoors together in light of current health guidelines and local school policies. (masks may be removed for high intensity outdoor activities, and when seated for eating).
• Sanitizing stations—We’ll have plenty of hand-sanitizing stations throughout meeting places, and encourage students to use them often.
• Different guidelines may be in place for specific events (i.e., 6th Grade Camp, MS Camp, Converge, or others). Please check specific event pages for more details.
*If a student or family member is experiencing/exhibiting any of the following symptoms, please stay home: fever (100 degrees or greater) or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.
What happens if a student or leader tests positive for COVID-19?
Please notify staff at University Carillon (EPIC) immediately if you, a family member, or someone you have been in close contact with tests positive for COVID-19, or if you have any COVID-19 symptoms. The CDC defines a close contact as someone who was “within 6 feet of an infected person for at least 15 minutes.”
If the student is part of an in-person gathering small group, we will notify the parents of all members in the group.
