spring 2023 (beginning in February)
This spring we’ll still be gathering as a HS EPIC community weekly…so that’s not changing! But how we gather will look different every other week. Our normal large group gatherings — Sundays from 4-6:30PM — will still be happening, but (beginning in February) only every other Sunday.
On the weeks we’re not gathering as a large group? We’re excited to gather in “Life Groups” on a few different days / times, co-led by staff and some amazing old EPIC students.
“WHY CHANGE IT UP?”
Our heart & hope is always to create spaces for students to experience Jesus, and find His fullness of life in the messiness, craziness, struggle and fun of their real lives. And there’s just something about small groups doing life together that seemed to be a major way Jesus wanted people to experience Him best! (When you think about it, Jesus basically called a small group — His 12 disciples — to eat with, learn from and do life with Him.) So we want to try out making that part of the regular way we gather this semester.
Every other week, we’ll be eating some delicious food (parents, that’s one place we’d love your help!), having fun, growing in community, and spending time in scripture & prayer together. We’re also excited to have the freedom to do some extra events / creative gatherings this semester, too!

“COOL. ANY OTHER DETAILS I SHOULD KNOW?”
- All are welcome. All are welcome. If you come to EPIC every week or never come — if you read your Bible every morning, if you have a ton of questions about it, or if you’ve literally never opened it on your own — if you have a ton of friends at EPIC or don’t know anyone — we want to see you there!
- Spots are limited. We want these groups to grow in friendship & community, and that can only be done with so many people.If some groups have a waitlist, and others have only a few people, we may change or add a group. The sooner students sign up, the better we know what changes might need to be made!
- If you sign up, show up! Students: we encourage you to be as consistent as possible in coming to the group you sign up for! We know weeks get crazy and sometimes, it’s just not possible. Life happens. But community is built with consistency. If you sign up, do your best to show up!
